TASK 1.3.

Inter-comparison experiments and training schools

Reference panel intercomparison

The “Reference Panel Intercomparison Test” was designed as an experimental setup to analyze and evaluate the degradation of reference panels in field spectroscopy and their need for recalibration. The proposed inter-comparison involved an analysis of the environmental conditions during the test, and a comparison of the measured spectral radiances of the different panels versus the spectral radiances of a “master” panel. Relative percentage differences with and without calibration were obtained individually for each panel. This experiment is intended to be the starting point for establishing an intercomparison protocol accepted by NetOPS members to evaluate the status of the reference panels.
